StockFloc is built to need as little personal information as possible. There are no accounts and no logins. We do not ask for your name, and we do not sell your personal information.
Your watchlist and app settings are stored locally on your device. StockFloc assigns your device a random, anonymous identifier so features like Rankings can work. This identifier is not linked to your real identity.
If you opt in to Rankings, we store the tickers in your basket, your chosen nickname, and your anonymous device identifier on our servers so we can score and display the leaderboard. Your tickers and nickname are public on the leaderboard by design. We do not collect the number of shares, dollar amounts, or any brokerage information, because StockFloc never connects to a brokerage and never sees your real holdings.
When you view quotes, charts, or news, the app requests that data from our API and third-party providers. Those providers may process technical request data under their own privacy terms.
StockFloc runs a public, read-only tool server at https://api.stockfloc.com/mcp that AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude can call for the Floc Heat Index and today's fire and ice movers. It needs no account and returns ticker symbols, percent changes, and counts only. A request carries the tool name and simple options (which side, how many stocks). AI platforms may attach their own technical metadata, such as an anonymized request identifier, locale, or approximate location; we do not use or store it. As with any web request, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard request data (such as IP address and user agent) to deliver and protect the service. We do not build profiles from these requests, share them, or count them in app analytics.
We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to understand aggregate site traffic. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the website. To count how many devices use the app each day, our server records a salted, one-way hash of the requesting IP address along with the platform (iOS or Android); it never stores the raw address. The app may show ads through a mobile ad network under that network's privacy terms; the premium unlock removes ads.
StockFloc is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to opt out of certain processing (for example under GDPR or CCPA). Because the app is anonymous and requires no account, we hold very little personal information. To exercise any right, email [email protected]. We will respond as required by law.
Rankings data (your basket, nickname, and anonymous device identifier) is kept while you take part in Rankings, and we delete it when you ask at [email protected]. Server request logs are kept for up to 7 days. Device-count records (salted hashes, never raw addresses) are kept for up to 3 months. We take reasonable measures to protect this data. No system is perfectly secure.
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date.
